A Course in Miracles
A Course in Miracles (ACIM) is a self-study system of ‘spiritual psychology’ contained in a three-volume book, first published in 1976. ACIM combines profound spiritual teachings with practical psychological insights. ACIM is suggested for individuals looking for deeper meaning and happiness, and it is considered essential reading for those planning to participate in a series of spiritual psychology sessions. Its also an excellent manual for those interested in the metaphysical basis of manifesting.
The aim of ACIM is to help us remove our internal blocks to the awareness of the love that is here, now. It teaches us to start listening to our inner teacher, the ‘Voice for God’ and to awaken to our True nature, as Spirit.
ACIM teaches that there is no separation between God and ourselves. It teaches that God is all there is and It is eternal love. God only creates like Itself, so we remain as God created us, innocent and whole. It states that only what God created is real. God did not create pain, death, guilt or fear, so although they exist in our experience, they are not real. ACIM teaches us to change our perceptions about the world through a process of ‘undoing’ past ideas, or forgiveness. The peace of God is reached through the practice of forgiveness, so that our real identity and the true nature of reality can be seen and known.
For those who have gained insight and awareness through their own internal work, ACIM can be used as a guide to the next step towards wholeness. ACIM teaches a completely different, liberating thought system which transforms our experience of reality.
